Development of the DEST test for the early screening for dyslexia.

چکیده
Sensitive and accurate pre-school screening for dyslexia remains a desired but unattained goal for applied dyslexia research. We argue that recent theoretical developments allied to recent technological developments make the search for a ‘Dyslexia Early Screening Test’ (DEST) both timely and feasible. Following a brief review of earlier studies we draw up a ‘requirements analysis’ for the DEST and outline the reasoning behind our efforts to construct the DEST.
